Terms of Service
Updated 2026-10-10
MemeTrader is a paper-trading game. Nothing on it is investment advice, and no real asset is ever bought or sold for you. These terms govern your use of memetrader.fun, its API and its related services.
1. Who we are, and your agreement
MemeTrader (“MemeTrader”, “we”, “us”) is a product of Qara and is operated by Jura Capital LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. By signing in, playing, buying a perk, using the bot API or otherwise using the service you agree to these Terms, to the Privacy Policy, to the Sales Policy (all sales final) and, if you sell signals or receive tips, to the Creator Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You must not be located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive United States sanctions, and you must not be a person on a US or other applicable sanctions list.
- You are responsible for making sure that using the service, holding or sending crypto (SOL), and receiving crypto payouts are lawful where you live.
- You must comply with the terms of the wallet app you sign in with.
3. The game
Every player trades with paper money counted in MTR, the game’s own unit — a bankroll that starts at 1,000,000 MTR and carries from round to round as a run (below). The arena runs rounds of one token at a time. MTR has no cash value: it is not a cryptocurrency or token, and it cannot be bought, sold, transferred or withdrawn. Positions, profits, losses, liquidations, rankings and titles are simulated. No real asset is bought, sold, held or transferred as a result of a trade in the arena. Round assets are chosen by vote, by a sponsor or by rotation and are priced from third-party market data feeds that may be delayed, interrupted or wrong. We may skip, void, re-price or re-settle a round when a data feed fails or when the integrity of the game requires it. House-operated bots trade alongside players and are marked as bots. MTR is never converted into any token or currency.
Runs. Your paper bankroll carries from round to round as a run: it starts at 1,000,000 MTR and lasts until you reset it. You may reset at any time from your profile, at any balance; a reset requested during a round in which you have already traded takes effect when that round settles (“at the gong”), and that round still counts in full for your rank and rating. One reset per round. Runs are kept, not erased: every run is shown on your profile and, for registered accounts, on a public run page that anyone with its link can see and that may be shared with a preview image. Guest sessions see only their current run. Contests may exclude runs reset during the contest, as their published rules state.
4. Not financial advice
Nothing on MemeTrader — the arena, rankings, chat, creator signals, bot signals, the developer guide, or any other content — is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security, token or other asset. Signals are another player’s or a bot’s paper trades, shared for entertainment. Past performance in the arena means nothing about future results, in the arena or anywhere else. Any decision you make with real money is yours alone.
5. Accounts, wallets and identity
- Guest play. You may play without an account: a guest session is created when you first trade, kept in a first-party cookie and on our servers, and ends 90 days after your last activity, when its handle is anonymised. A guest may use the three trade buttons, reset the run at any time, see the current run’s score and hold a place on the live board; run history, the public run page, sharing, chat, voting, purchases, signals, bots and everything else require registering. When you register, your guest run becomes yours: the run, its bankroll and its trades move to your account — unless the account you sign in to already has a history of its own, in which case we cannot merge the two and you choose: continue as that account (the guest run is left behind: it stays on our servers under its guest handle until it expires, but that browser drops it and signing out does not bring it back; only a device that still holds its guest cookie can continue it) or keep playing as the guest. A guest run you never register ends when it expires or when you clear site data; we cannot restore it. By playing, even as a guest, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- Registration. You register and sign in in one of three ways: with a Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or any other Solana wallet; a multi-chain wallet signs in through its Solana side) by signing a message; with your Google account; or with your email address, by opening a sign-in link we send you — there is no password. An EVM (Ethereum-compatible) wallet no longer signs in; an account that signed in with one keeps its history and signs in with any other method linked to it. Google and email sign-in run through Google’s Firebase Authentication; the sign-in pages are served under memetrader.fun. An account may have several sign-in methods; one wallet, Google account or email belongs to one account. To vote, pay, sell signals, run bots or receive any payout you must link a Solana wallet to your account by signing a message from it; payments are accepted only from linked wallets and payouts are sent only to the payout-default Solana wallet you chose. To pay for a perk, the wallet you pay from must be linked and hold SOL (section 7). Wallet apps and Google are third parties’ products, under their own terms. You control your keys. We never hold your funds and cannot recover your wallet.
- Your handle, your trades, your votes and your rankings are public by design; your wallet addresses, your email address and your Google account are not shown to other players. Trade logs may be committed to a public blockchain, where they cannot be removed.
- Real trades. A swap, a quick buy or a launch’s first buy you make with your own wallet through MemeTrader is recorded from the blockchain and, once you have seen a one-line notice at your first real trade, may be ranked under your handle on the real-money board — never with your wallet address — until you hide it in Settings.
- Do not create or control multiple identities to gain an advantage (for example in votes or rankings). Guest sessions cannot vote, chat or buy, never appear in the season ladders, and are limited per connection.
- Keep your session private. You are responsible for everything done from your wallet, your Google account or your email inbox.
6. Voting
Every signed-in account whose bound Solana wallet holds at least 1 SOL may cast one free vote per round for the next asset. Super-votes and sponsored slots are paid perks that add weight to your pick or book a round; they do not guarantee an outcome — a chosen asset must be priceable when the round opens, and we may substitute an asset or void a booking under section 3 and the Sales Policy. Votes are final once the ballot closes; a super-vote paid inside the last 90 seconds of a ballot is refused up front, and one that confirms after the close rolls to the next ballot (section 7).
7. Purchases
- Perks (super-votes, sponsored rounds, tips, the Pro pass, bot fees) are one-time digital purchases. Signals are bought by the week — 1 to 8 weeks in one payment, added to the end of what you hold. Nothing renews. Buying again adds to what you have; it never sets up a subscription.
- Crypto only: SOL on Solana. Every price is in SOL — a perk’s fixed price, the weekly price a creator sets, a tip’s size or the amount you choose, a bot fee you owe — never below 0.001 SOL (the price names it when it applies). When you pay you get a quote that names the exact amount and holds for 10 minutes; after that you get a fresh quote. Card payments are not offered.
- How the money moves. You pay in your own transaction, which you sign in your wallet. For a creator’s signals or a tip your payment goes to a collection address derived from our treasury’s public key for that creator (only our treasury key can move it; there is no key on our servers), and our payout service forwards the creator’s 90% to the creator and our 10% to our treasury, normally within a minute (the network fee of that forward comes out of our share, never the creator’s); super-votes, sponsored rounds, the Pro pass, bot fees and anything bought from a house bot go to our treasury’s Solana address directly. A Solana payment carries a reference key and a memo naming the purchase — you may pay from a wallet connected to this site or by scanning the payment’s QR code with any Solana wallet, as long as it is a wallet linked to your account. We never hold a creator’s share: that forward is the only step between you and the creator; nothing is paid out on a schedule. (Until 10 October 2026 we also accepted ETH on Robinhood Chain and Base and BNB on BNB Chain, paid through our published split contract.) Each purchase carries a reference; the transaction on the public blockchain is the record of your purchase, and our ledger indexes it.
- Perks are delivered once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, normally within seconds. A super-vote that confirms after its ballot closed counts toward the next ballot for the same asset, or stays as a super-vote credit if that asset is not on it.
- All purchases are final. There are no refunds — not for a signal that was wrong, a vote that lost, an asset that moved against you, the wrong perk or amount, a change of mind, or a wallet you do not control. See the sales policy.
- You are responsible for any taxes on crypto you send or receive.
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed, and the network fee (gas) is yours. Check the chain, the amount and the recipient before you sign.
7a. Unattributed payments
Every purchase has a reference and, on Solana, an exact amount and a deadline. A transfer that does not carry a valid reference — sent without a purchase, after the deadline, in the wrong amount or asset, to a treasury address or a Solana collection address directly, or to an address we do not watch — cannot be attributed to an account or a purchase. Money that reaches a Solana collection address without a valid reference stays there under our treasury’s control and is not forwarded to anyone. It is not delivered and we have no obligation to identify its sender or to return it. Our treasury addresses accept only the native currency of each chain; we do not watch tokens sent to them. If you believe you sent such a transfer, email support@memetrader.fun within 90 days with the transaction id and prove control of the sending address by signing a message from it; we may, at our sole discretion, deliver the perk or return the amount less network fees and our costs. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
8. Creator program
If you sell a week of your signals or receive tips, the Creator Terms apply, including the flat 10% platform fee, how and when your share is paid, and your tax responsibilities.
8a. The token creator
Launch a token turns your description into a meme-token concept: a name, a ticker, art and a story. It is generated by AI: check it before you use it. We do not promise that it is original, that a name or ticker is available, or that it is free of anyone else’s rights. You alone are responsible for any token you launch and for everything you publish with it, including following the law where you and your buyers are. We may refuse a description. Creating a concept is free; we may limit how many you create in a day and how many wait to be created at one time.
You launch a token yourself, from your own wallet, on pump.fun: we prepare the transaction for you to sign and pass it on, and we never hold your keys or your funds. Launching has a fee. It is shown, in SOL, before you sign and is paid from your wallet to MemeTrader inside the launch transaction itself: if the launch does not go through, the fee is not charged; once it does, the fee is final like every purchase (section 7). The network’s own charges and pump.fun’s are separate and are not ours. You may add a first buy of up to the share of the supply pump.fun’s own rules allow, paid from your wallet in the same transaction. pump.fun’s rules apply to the token — its supply, its bonding curve, its trading fees and what happens when it graduates are pump.fun’s, not ours. MemeTrader is recorded on pump.fun as the token’s creator, so that we can set up and keep the split of its creator fees: 50% go to you and 50% to MemeTrader, paid out by pump.fun. We set the split up shortly after the launch; creator fees from before then are ours. If we change the split, we will only ever lower our share of a token already launched. Being recorded as the creator does not make us the token’s issuer or promoter: you remain responsible for it as described above. The token’s image and description are published on IPFS, which is public and permanent.
A token launched here is listed in the Tokens arena once its fee split is in place: players may vote for it and trade it with paper money in its rounds, which run only while it has trading activity. Listing a token is not an endorsement or a promotion of it, and nothing we generate or show is a promise of value or returns. We may remove a token from the arena, and decline to list or remove anything that breaks these Terms or the law.
9. Bot API
- API keys are personal. Keep them secret; you are responsible for every request made with them. Keys are limited in number and rate as documented in the developer guide, and we may lower limits at any time.
- Do not attempt to overload, probe, scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the service, other players, the price feeds or the payout rail; do not use the API to manipulate votes, rankings or chat.
- We may throttle, disable or revoke keys and bots, and remove them from rankings and prizes, when we believe these Terms were breached. Bots never win prizes.
10. Prizes and contests
When a prize round or contest is enabled, its official rules are published with it. No purchase is necessary to enter a free-entry prize round. Prizes are void where prohibited, paid only to wallets of eligible players, and may require identity or tax information before payment; house bots may place but are never paid, and a bot you run through the bot API wins for you. No prize round or contest is running now; rounds are played for rank and rating only. We may withhold or reclaim a prize obtained by cheating, collusion or breach of these Terms.
11. Conduct
In chat, sponsor banners, handles and anywhere else you can write: no harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, illegal content, spam, impersonation (including of MemeTrader, its staff or Robinhood), solicitation of real-money investment, or links to scams. We may hide, edit or remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
12. Content and intellectual property
The service, its design, code, names and content are ours or our licensors’ and are protected by law. You keep the rights to what you write and publish here and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute it in connection with the service. Copyright complaints go to support@memetrader.fun.
13. Third parties
MemeTrader is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Robinhood Markets, Inc. or its affiliates, nor by Google, nor by the maker of any wallet we let you sign in with (including Phantom, Solflare and Backpack). “Robinhood”, “Robinhood Wallet”, “Google” and every other wallet or service name are trademarks of their owners, used only to name the method you sign in with. Blockchains, wallet apps, Google’s sign-in services, RPC providers and market-data feeds are operated by third parties we do not control.
14. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a purpose, accuracy of data or uninterrupted availability. Blockchain transactions carry their own risks (network failures, fees, irreversibility, chain reorganisations, loss of keys, sending on the wrong chain), which you bear.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jura Capital LLC and its owners, staff and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from the service. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in that period and one hundred US dollars.
16. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your bots, your breach of these Terms or your violation of law or third-party rights.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, keys, bots or perks, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, legal requirements, or to protect the service and other players. Sections 4, 7 (finality), 7a, 12, 14 to 17 and 20 to 22 survive termination.
18. Referrals
There is no referral programme at the moment. The programme that ran until 26 September 2026 was withdrawn on that date while we redesign it: a referral link no longer attributes anyone, no commission accrues and none is paid. Earlier referral records stay in our books as history only. If a programme returns, it will be announced here with its own terms.
19. Security research
Good-faith security testing is welcome: report what you find to support@memetrader.fun (see also /.well-known/security.txt) and give us a reasonable time to fix it before disclosing. Do not disrupt the live arena, degrade the service for other players, or access, alter or exfiltrate data that is not yours.
20. General
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable part is applied to the fullest extent the law allows.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service and replace any earlier terms.
- Assignment. We may assign these Terms, for example in a merger or sale of the service; you may not assign them without our written consent.
- No waiver. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including blockchain, network, data-feed or payment-provider outages.
- Electronic notices. You agree to receive notices from us electronically, by posting on the site or through the account you sign in with; a posted notice is received when posted.
21. Changes
We may change these Terms and the service. Material changes are announced on the site with a new effective date; continued use after that date is acceptance. The current version always lives at https://memetrader.fun/terms.
22. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim you agree to email us at support@memetrader.fun and try to resolve it informally for thirty days. Any claim not resolved that way is brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.
