The Safety score

Updated 2026-10-17

What the Safety score measures, the ten rug checks and their weights, the hourly list’s bar, our own curve and the crash rule.

The score

Safety score is set by 10 rug checks, read from RugCheck and the token’s pools. A score out of 100 that every failed check cuts: the ones that count most to 40, the others to 60 or 80, and the cuts multiply. Linked wallets or a thin pool keep a token off the list on their own.

ScoreThe chip
75 to 100green
60 to 74amber
below 60red
—dashed: not read yet

A check no source could read shows n/a and does not cut. Not a guarantee: tokens can still crash or be rugged. Not financial advice.

The list’s bar

The hourly list takes a score of 75 or more. Two checks stop a token on their own, whatever the score: insiders and depth. A token no source could read has no score and stays off.

LP

The share of the token’s liquidity that is locked, and what it is worth now. It passes at 95 % locked or more than $1M locked; only a lock that outlasts the round counts.

PassesFailsWeight
Liquidity is lockedLiquidity can be pulled1 · counts most

Mint

Whether anyone can still create new tokens. On Solana the mint authority must be revoked.

PassesFailsWeight
No one can mint moreThe owner can mint more1 · counts most

Freeze

Whether anyone can freeze a holder’s tokens, blacklist, pause or allow only some wallets.

Owner

Controls an owner keeps out of sight. On Solana: a permanent delegate or a transfer hook.

PassesFailsWeight
No hidden owner controlsHidden owner controls1 · counts most

Tax

The tax on a buy or a sell — on Solana the transfer fee — and whether the owner can change it.

PassesFailsWeight
Tax is 10% or lessTax is over 10% or can change0.5

Code

Whether the contract’s source is public.

PassesFailsWeight
Contract code is publicContract code is hidden0.25

A Solana token has no contract of its own, so the check does not apply there and does not cut.

Dev

How much of the supply the creator’s wallet holds.

Creator holds 5% or lessCreator holds over 5%0.5

Top 10

How much the ten largest wallets hold together. Pools, burns and lockers do not count.

Insiders

Wallets RugCheck ties together as one operation — funded from one source, moving together — as a share of the supply.

PassesFailsWeight

A list stop: a fail keeps the token off the hourly list whatever its score.

Depth

The pools’ liquidity against the market cap, this minute. A thin pool turns a sale of a few percent of the supply into a crash.

PassesFailsWeight
Pool is 20% of cap or over $1MPool under 20% of cap and $1M1 · counts most

A list stop, and a depth with no recent reading stops the token too.

On our own curve

A token launched here and still on its curve: the LP check reads the curve — “Liquidity is held by the curve” — and the depth does not apply; its value shows how full the curve is, and it never stops the token.

Once the token graduates, both read its Raydium pool like any other token’s.

The crash rule

A token more than 50 % down over the last 6, 12 or 24 hours is off the hourly list, out of the draw and never bookable, whatever its score.
